Fiorentina rout Siena in the first half of their Tuscan derby. Goals from Luca Toni, David Pizarro and Alberto Aquilani inside the first half put the Viola in full control. Fiorentina continue to push for a place in Europe while Siena remain rooted to the bottom of Serie A.

A second half goal for Fiorentina from Luca Toni, his second of the match, and a consolation goal for Siena from Ferreira Reginaldo completed the scoring. Siena defender Massimo Paci was red carded late on but Alberto Acquilani missed the resulting penalty kick.
